WA Showcase
One of the aims of the Innovation Gateway website is to showcase Western Australian innovation and to promote the importance of innovation to the development of the WA economy.

We are currently looking for WA innovators interested in showcasing their products and services.
The website will not list products or services purely for marketing or promotional purposes. Requests for listing will be assessed by the Department of Commerce against the following criteria:
- The products or services being developed or commercialised must
involve innovation
- The product or service must be technically credible and feasible
- The development must involve or have involved a systematic, investigative or experimental process that involves risk and results in the generation of new knowledge.
- There must be a clearly demonstrable market need for the product or service
- There must be clearly demonstrable commercial potential and/or
commercially exploitable outcomes
- Export potential or import replacement opportunities should be demonstrated
- Extent of international competitiveness needs to be demonstrated
- The proponent needs to demonstrate the commercial viability of
the business
- There must be in existence sound technical and commercial management
- The proponent must demonstrate the solvency of the business
- There must be demonstrable social, economic and/or
environmental benefits
- The proponent's business activities must not have adverse social, economic and/or environmental effects
- The proponent must demonstrate benefits to Western Australia
that will flow from the development and commercialisation of the
product or service
- Spin off effects for Western Australian industry
- Creation of employment
- Transfer and/or diffusion of technology within Western Australia
- Export and/or import replacement potential
- The proponent must be prepared to provide information to the Department of Commerce in relation to directory listing, including the preparation of case studies and profiles to be published on the WAIC website or other media that aims to encourage the development and commercialisation of innovative products and services.
