The Western Australian Government through the State's economic development agency industry and resources oversees the management of the State's innovation program.
Innovation Centre WA
Based at the Bentley ICT Technology Precinct, the centre:
- was established in November 2005
- The Innovation Centre WA aims to provide infrastructure and services to support emerging innovative enterprises; to bridge the gap between the development and commercialisation of ideas into viable and sustainable enterprises and products; and to assist existing businesses to identify commercialisation opportunities.
- is the co-ordination point for the annual WA Inventor of the Year Award Program; the Investor Ready Program; and enterprise support seminars and workshops
- remains a central access point for information and services
Australian Marine Complex Technology Precinct
- Marine, defence, oil and gas technology development; research and education
- Central Services Facility with café; tavern and function room hire opening in June 2007
